So many airlines in the world, covering every continent, online and all looking for you, inviting you to travel with them, each one making a special appeal, offering to fly you for less money, less time, more upgrades, more stops, more appealing stops, give you points, earn you miles, and perhaps one day, fly you to the moon.

National characteristics can’t hide when it comes to airlines online. While Lufthansa offers you timetables, Austrian Airlines offer you weather information, Hawaiian Airlines discuss loyalty programs, United Airlines have employment links, and Singapore Airlines highlight inflight dining. Carriers of your dreams, they all want to transport you to whatever you desire and they all have something to offer.

They all have good points – fast and relatively inexpensive travel – and bad points – deep vein thrombosis risk, indifferent food, toilet queues. Well, they did have. Toilet queues are discouraged now for security reasons. Armed marshals have been introduced on many flights and airport security is tightening up everywhere.
